This form of quilting is called flat quilting, the purpose of which is to add that extra layer of warmth. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAn up-cycled coat in fawn (70% wool, 15% angora, 15% cashmere) is used for the underside of the tip and is embellished with machine embroidered leaves in red to compliment the red in the tip.  It is lined in the original coat lining, a beautiful peach colour (68% acetate, 32% viscose) which is quilted to the cashmere.
